Don't be angry at traffic, remember you're part of it.

Meh.
In Chicago I had a temp job for like two months, where I went 10 miles in an hour. It was more like 1:30 - 2 hours if it was raining. I was on one street for 9.8 of those miles, just going in a straight line.

I live on the north side of Chicago, and commute to a suburb which is about 20 miles. It takes me an hour to 2 hours each way every day.

Same in the winter for me. I commute from the city to Northfield 2-3 days a week (about 20.6 miles door to door) and I usually make it in under an hour, in the morning. But the evening commute averages 1:15 and if there's rain or snow, it pushes 1:45. I can't tell you how many times this past winter my commute was longer than 2:30 because of all the snow.
